Baptism A New Life in Christ

Baptism is not merely a ritual. It is a public declaration of faith, a step of obedience, and a picture of new life in Christ.

A Command from Christ

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." — Matthew 28:19

Baptism is not a human tradition but a command given by Jesus Himself. It follows faith and marks the beginning of a life of discipleship.

United with Christ

"We were buried therefore with Him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead, we too might walk in newness of life." — Romans 6:4

Baptism symbolizes dying to the old life and rising into a new one. It proclaims identification with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection.

The Practice of the Early Church

"Those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls." — Acts 2:41

From the very beginning of the New Testament Church, baptism followed belief and marked entry into the community of faith.

A Clear Conscience Before God

"Baptism… now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body, but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ." — 1 Peter 3:21

Baptism does not save by water, but by faith. It is an outward expression of an inward commitment to Christ.
